Neusiedlersee DAC Reserve Zweigelt Ried Luckenwald 2017
Dark ruby red with a purple rim. Dark cherries and blackberry confit are the dominant aromas in the nose with underlying notes of cacao. Medium-frim tannins with full and luscious body on the palate. The finish is long-lasting and fruit-driven.

Temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel with four weeks of maceration time. Twelve months of maturation in small french oak barrels.
The Luckenwald (literally ‘forested gap’) vineyard site is home to our best Zweigelt vines. It is one of the most highly valued sloped vineyard sites in Gols and very limited in area. The site is a small southwest-facing bridge (or gap) between two south-facing slopes. The forest has since made way for vineyards.
It pairs perfectly with most meat dishes. Especially steaks (venison or highquality pork) are a favourite of ours. Yet, the fruity characteristics allow for a wide range of pairings, also for less savoury dishes.
